VegaPuls 54

The Puls 50 series is the original Radar solution. The primary difference between it and the 40 series is the Puls 50's 6.3 GHz operating frequency. This lower frequency reduces the accuracy very slightly, and increases the beam angle. However, it also makes the Puls 50 more suitable for installations involving foam or agitation.

Since the PULS 54 is a horn version radar that operates at 6.3GHz, it is possible to measure solids with this unit. Also, the horn is shorter than the rod, which allows our customers the ability to maximize their tank space. The PULS 54 is a flange mount unit with horn sizes of 2", 3", 4", 6" and 10". It also has the option of waveguide extensions, which allow it to mount in almost any height nozzle.

Best suited for underground tanks or installation requiring a riser or stilling well.

Features:

  • Beam angle: 10 degrees, 20 degrees
  • Sensitivity to build-up: low
  • Products with a low dielectric constant: limited reflection, improves with Stillwell

  • Horizontal cylindrical tanks: limited
  • Stilling well measurements: Suitable for 2" or larger
  • Process vessels: ideal
  • High-temperature applications: 302 °F (150 °C) (max temp)
  • NOTE: 752 °F (400 °C) is possible with the Puls 56HT design. Talk with your Titan representative for more information.
  • Foam: possible
  • Sensitivity to agitation: low
  • Mounting: 2", 3", 4", 6" 150# and 300# ANSI flange
