VegaPuls 81
The Puls 81 is a 4-wire explosion proof unit. It is able to measure solids and liquids in a host of challenging environments. The gauge comes with a stainless steel ANSI flange (2", 3", 4" or 6") with a choice of either a stainless steel horn or a rod antenna made of PTFE variant Hostaflon. VVO Software with EchoFox is used to calibrate the gauge. The gauge is an ideal solution as a non-contact continuous level measurement for fast level changing process applications.
With its higher output power the Puls 81 can measure up to 114 ft, the highest possible in all the Puls series. It is also available for a maximum product temperature of 1832 F (1000 °C).
Ideal for applications that are extremely difficult, involving fast changes in level.
Features:
- Sensitivity to build-up: low
- Products with a low dielectric constant: limited reflection, improves with Stillwell
- Dry product applications: possible
- Tall & narrow vessels: limited
- Horizontal cylindrical tanks: limited
- Stilling well measurements: Suitable for 2" or larger
- Process vessels: ideal
- High-temperature applications: 1832 °F (1000 °C) (max temp)
- Foam: possible
- Sensitivity to agitation: low
- Mounting: 2" ANSI (stilling well); 3", 4", 6" & 10"ANSI (cone antenna); 2", 3", 4" & 6" ANSI (rod antenna)
- Antenna: Horn, Cone (for stilling wells), or Rod
- Maximum Vessel Pressure: Vacuum to 928.24 psi (0 to 64 bar)
Applications:
- Upright vessels as well as horizontals, requiring non contact measurement
- Bridle applications
- High-pressure NGL tanks
